2023
New in the calendar year 2023 was the election of the best wrestler/coach of the year in all styles.
All European nations and UWW Europe Council members were asked at the beginning of November 2023 to nominate candidates by 30.11.2023. From the proposed candidates, the 3 persons with the most nominations were admitted to the election. All nations and UWW Europe Council members were again invited to vote on December 4, 2023. Votes had to be cast by December 31, 2023.
During the European Wrestling Championships Bucharest/Romania UWW Europe President Karl-Martin Dittmann honored the best wrestlers and coaches in 2023 in all styles. The winners of the categories received an honorary prize and prize money of €1,000.

These awards are intended to recognize the good performance of the wrestlers and coaches.
2024
The same awards will also be presented for the 2024 calendar year. The elections for this were completed at the end of 2024.
The results will be published at the 2025 General Assembly in Bratislava in April.
The awards will be presented during the 2025 European Championships in Bratislava.
