At this year’s AC Wals sponsors’ gathering at the Sporthotel Wagrain, UWW Europe President Karl-Martin Dittmann presented a special award. Toni Marchl received an honorary award from UWW Europe for his outstanding contributions to the sport of wrestling.
The evening brought together sponsors, partners and friends of AC Wals to celebrate the club and to thank those who make its work possible. Against this backdrop, President Dittmann took the opportunity to recognise a person who has supported wrestling with great commitment over many years.
In his address, Dittmann highlighted Toni Marchl’s dedication and his long-standing support for the sport, both in the club environment and beyond. Without such engaged supporters, he stressed, the development of wrestling at club level would not be possible.
Marchl accepted the award with gratitude and was congratulated by the guests present. The honour reflects not only his personal commitment, but also the importance of strong partnerships between clubs, sponsors and the wider wrestling family.
